Stress Directions, Inc., respects the privacy of visitors to its Web site, and will never release e-mail addresses to a third party. Stress Directions subscribes to industry ethics standards for Internet health information, including the Health On the Net (HON) code of conduct regarding visitor privacy (http://www.hon.ch ).

Confidentiality of data relating to individual clients and visitors, including their identity, is respected by this Web site. The Web site owners undertake to honor or exceed the legal requirements of medical/health information privacy that apply in the country and state where the Web site and mirror sites are located. Pages viewed are not identified with individuals.

All personal data are password protected and are not identifiable by name. The user's email is their ID for the purpose of recovering forgotten passwords and is protected by a security question of the user's choosing. All email addresses are kept separate from response data to assure anonymity of said data. All data retained are anonymous and cannot be used to identify individuals. These data become part of Stress Directions' international research database. Aggregate data may be used periodically to analyze stress patterns and the relationship of stress to particular demographic groupings.
