The company founders, Drs. Lyle H. Miller and Alma Dell Smith, have dedicated their professional lives to the study, treatment and analysis of stress in modern society. They are the authors of two popular books on stress, The Stress Solution and Stress and Marriage, which have sold over 150 thousand copies combined. Their work is quoted extensively in print and in authoritative, professional web sites, such as the American Psychological Association. The measurement device, the Personal Stress Navigator, originally published under the name Stress Audit, is the only stress assessment instrument peer reviewed and listed in O.K. Buros 10th Mental Measurements Yearbook, published by the Buros Institute at the University of Nebraska.
